GD — WORK NOTE lithograph / 2022

Created for the 254th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, themed Climate, and coordinated by Alison Wilding RA.

Orange Sky explores the tension between a romanticised view of landscape and the modern reality of our fragile world. Through collage — combining reformed landscape photographs, paintings and drawings — familiar, idealised scenes are transformed into something darker, slightly unbalanced.

Small, glitch-like mirroring elements reflect oddities that question the landscape. Contrasting colour choices create reactive effects that hold the viewer between beauty and unease.

Each print is hand-finished, making every edition unique. Printed in five colours using lithograph and screenprint processes on Somerset 410gsm Tub Sized Satin White paper.

Edition of 65. Each print signed by the artist.
