Day has long been captivated by billboards — the distortion of information at close up, the peeled-off paper from an old surface creating an accidental collage.
This work reflects that ongoing fascination with visual decay and the layered aesthetics of urban signage. The screen printing process layers half-tone in keeping with the industrial process used, combined with simplified blending techniques.
Silver leaf is hand-applied to the reverse side. A halftone varnish dot is applied to the sky. Finished with satin seal.
Edition of 10. Each print signed. Silver leaf hand-applied — no two are identical.
